New To Homeschooling?

Are you considering homeschooling your children?  Homewood Christian Association is a great resource for help in getting started along this path.  We have many seasoned homeschoolers in our membership who are willing and able to help you navigate all of the homeschooling options out there.  Please complete an application to join and gain access to the wealth of information from our members and our forums.

What is Homewood Christian Association?

Homewood Christian Association is a traditional homeschool support group.  Our mission is to provide homeschooled students and parents an opportunity to meet up and develop friendships while having fun through field trips, park days, and other social activities.  We are 100% parent-volunteer-led, with member parents planning and hosting events appropriate to the interest and age of their child(ren).

We are not a co-op, and we do not offer classes.

Interested in joining Homewood?

Click on the Membership Application link on the How to Join menu. Once completed, your registration form will be reviewed by our membership committee. Notification of membership will be emailed to you within five business days, if possible.

The membership dues are $42 per year. We do not prorate membership dues. Beginning in April, we will allow prospective members to join immediately and pay for the current school year or wait until membership renewals have begun to join for the next school year. Please understand that anything submitted from May through mid-August may receive a slower response time, as our volunteers are taking summer break during these months.

For more membership information, click the How to Join Homewood link on the menu.

Volunteer Rebate

To encourage more activity opportunities and help families with the dues increase, we are offering this year a one-time rebate of $10 per family to those who volunteer to lead at least one event this school year. The event or activity must have at least two other families signed up on the calendar besides the event leaders.

Possible events include but are not limited to

  • Field trips
  • Park day host
  • 9 & Under activities
  • Tween activities
  • Jr high activity
  • Sr high activity (separate from graduation activities)

Graduation and Kindergarten graduation are excluded from this opportunity.

Once our activity director confirms with the treasurer that the event was planned and took place, a one-time rebate of $10 will be sent via PayPal to the email listed in the family account. You must already be a member in good standing.

About Graduating with Homewood

Homewood Christian Association's high school graduation ceremony is open only to Homewood families who are current in their Homewood membership and who have been Homewood members for at least two (2) consecutive years, including their senior year.
